2014 Hearts in Action Summer Camps

Spring is here, and after all this rain and drizzle clears up, summer will finally be on the way! AdaptAbilities and the Hearts in Action Summer Camps are eager for another summer of fun and adventure!

With 2014 being the 10th Anniversary of AdaptAbilites, we have daily events and activities for people of all ages to get involved in a community, and to grow, belong, and succeed in life.

Heart in Action Day Camps will be running every week-day from July 1st, to August 15th, 7:30am to 6:00pm, and beginning at $16.48 an hour. Day Camp attendees will be placed in one of three groups, dependent on age, and sent off for a day’s worth of activities and social interaction with other campers and our trained supervisors.

At AdaptAbilities, and Hearts in Action we focus on individual growth, esteem building, gaining independence, and fostering a sense of community and inclusion. The activities are focused around brining out new perspectives, experiences, confidence, and new found skills that our clients and campers can further harness to strengthen their sense of belonging in our communities.

Hearts in Action campers can look forward to weekly swimming dates, field trips to local attractions, games and activities like mini-golf, laser-tag, health and fitness days, as well as taking in some of the festivals around the City. We like to focus on activities that allow our campers to develop new skills, interests, and passions they may not have known about themselves, our the Edmonton community beforehand.

Please remember our program takes place in the rain, sunshine, indoors, and outdoors. It is important to be well prepared for the wide array of weather patterns Edmonton can fall victim to in a day. Things to remember to bring are:

Sunscreen – Because of allergies and reactions, the Hearts in Action staff require Parents permission to spray sunscreen on your child. Please indicate your consent by signing the waiver in the registration package.

Insect Repellent – Keep protected from insect bites!

Hat – Keep your head, face, and neck safe from the suns UV rays and helps prevent dehydration.

Eyewear – Sunglasses to keep the eyes protected, and ease visibility.

Water Bottle – Full days where we accomplish a lot…You will need to stay hydrated to avoid headaches or feeling sick.

The daily events will begin at 9:00 am and be finished by 3:00pm. We do offer before/after care from 7-9 am and 3-6pm. The hourly fair of $16.48 will be billed for this time, as well.

The payment deadline for the Hearts in Action Summer Camps is June 24th, 2014.
