Making a difference in the life of an individual with disabilities is possible with AdaptAbilities on April 25!. Our Annual Fun-Raising Dinner is an opportunity to have some fun, while contributing to an amazing cause - sending both children and young adults with disabilities to camp this summer, and allowing AdaptAbilities to expand programming into Edmonton’s West End!
What is Hearts in Action Summer Camp?
Hearts in Action (HIA) Summer Camps are unique day camps that provide a fun and meaningful experience for children, youth and young adults with special needs. Campers experience new adventures, make life-long friendships, all while being supported with their daily routines.
We are so excited to promote our upcoming themed camps for 2018, where each week our campers will have the opportunity to try new things, experience adventure and enjoy a summer making memories that they won’t soon forget!
Why Should I Attend?
On top of supporting an amazing cause, here are a few reasons you won’t want to miss out!
1. Amazing Entertainment. From our emcee, Co-Founder of #MakeItAwkward Jesse Lipscombe, to comic relief from Adam Schwartz: a comedian who has turned his Asperger’s into an ability, to entertainment from local sound Good Nature, you will be thoroughly entertained throughout the night.
2. Great Food. We are so excited to host our event at the beautiful Chateau Lacombe Hotel in the heart of downtown Edmonton! Enjoy a delectable three course meal prepared by the prestigious chefs of the Chateau.
3. Community Networking. Our Annual Fun-Raising Dinner brings together members of the business, non-profit and community organizations from across the city. Network with other professional and make meaningful connections all while giving back.
How Are Fundraising Efforts Utilized?
The first $20,000 of event proceeds go directly towards our #kid2camp initiative, ensures that financial barriers are not a deterrent for individuals to have a memorable summer at HIA camp!
All proceeds over $20,000 will go directly to our exciting Orange Hub expansion project into Edmonton’s West End!
