A look at our Vision

• Our Respite programs will expand to include sites in the North, West, and South.
• A Motor Development Clinic, focusing on developing both gross and fine motor skills will be a much-needed division of AdaptAbilities. By running small group sessions, parents will be able to access these services for a reasonable rate.
• A Life Management Division will be an important addition to AdaptAbilities and will allow programming to maximize each child's potential. Programming will include essential life skills and independent living skills.
• A Volunteer Division will assist the overall operation of divisions. It will also provide the community with an excellent opportunity to develop skills and knowledge in working with children and youth with special needs.
• A Work Experience Component will provide three levels of opportunities: to provide clients receiving our services with training opportunities within the community, to provide high school students opportunities to have placements within our organization, and to provide placements for students from Post Secondary institutions.

Programs will run on a daily basis and will serve Edmonton and its surrounding communities. The space utilized by AdaptAbilities to run all programs will include:

• Large open play space that will have natural light and bright colours inviting its clientele into a stimulating environment;
• Smaller play space developed for infant to pre-school aged children that will provide age appropriate movement experiences;
• Fine motor room/arts and crafts room;
• Essential life skills classroom attached to a kitchen and laundry facility;
• Staff development/training facilities;
• Meeting room/board room, offices;
• Outdoor space, including accessible playground, soccer pitch, basketball hoops, and ball diamond. Access to swimming pool.
